Lumiere paints are thick, metallic, and pearlescent acrylic colours that maintain their integrity without spreading. Their high pigmentation results in vibrant hues and exceptional coverage, making them an excellent choice for a wide range of materials, including leather, wood, paper, and knits. Once air-dried for 24 hours and heat set through ironing, these paints become washable or dry cleanable on fabrics.

When used on wood or similar surfaces, a varnish can be applied to seal the paint, enhancing its durability. The paint remains soft and flexible, allowing it to stretch with fabric, which makes it particularly suitable for dance and theatrical costume design, as well as sportswear.

This kit serves as a practical introduction to Lumiere paints and includes nine metallic and pearlescent colours in 14ml bottles, along with helpful tips and techniques to inspire creativity. For airbrushing or silk painting, the paint can be mixed with Jacquard Colourless Extender or diluted with up to 25% water, expanding its versatility for various artistic applications.
