Description

Jacquard iDye Poly dyes offer a simple and effective way to dye polyester fabrics with stunning results. These dyes are designed for use on the stovetop, making dyeing synthetics easier than ever. Packaged in a water-soluble sachet, iDye Poly eliminates the need to handle messy dye powders—just fill a pan with water, drop in the dye sachet and the item you wish to dye, then bring it to a boil.

Ideal as an alternative to Disperse Dyes, iDye Poly is perfect for almost any synthetic material, including plastics and nylon. It’s a versatile choice for Cosplay designers and makers, offering the ability to dye buttons, toys, wigs, plastic fittings, and even thermoplastics like Worbla, Thibra, and Fosshape. You can also use it on 3D-printed objects and urethane coatings, opening up endless possibilities for customisation. Each 14g packet of dye can colour up to 1.3kg of dry fabric, depending on the desired intensity. For delicate materials, it’s best to test first, as some may not withstand the heat of boiling water.

These dyes for polyester can also be used in the same dye bath as Jacquard iDye for Natural fabrics to dye fabrics made from a polyester blend or where polyester thread has been used for the stitching. Choose a colour of iDye Poly closest to the iDye for Natural Fabrics colour, or opt for a completely different colour to create interesting contrasts!
